Periodic Inspection and Testing
Whether you are a landlord, business owner or homeowner, regular checks will maintain the safe working condition of electrics at your property. All electrical installations degrade over time and may become dangerous. It is therefore good practice – and a legal requirement in certain instances – to periodically have a qualified electrician to inspect and test your electrical systems. It is only through regular preventative maintenance such as this that can you be sure your electric systems are in good, safe working order.
The frequency between inspections varies from building to building and installation to installation. However, AGR Electrical can assess your installation and then recommend a suitable testing interval.
During the inspection, AGR Electrical will carry out tests to determine the condition of the electrical installation and identify any defects. Our assessments comprise visual checks as well as tests for electrical continuity, earthing, polarity, RCD functionality and much more.
Upon completion, we will issue you with an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). In addition, will outline any remedial work we consider necessary to ensure continued and safe operation of your electrical installation.
Landlord Electrical Inspections
All landlords are required by law to have electrical installations in their properties inspected and tested at intervals of no more than 5 years by a qualified and competent person. Electrical installation and appliances provided by the landlord must be safe in proper working order.AGR Electrical can carry out periodic electrical checks for landlords in the Warrington area to verify the condition of the electrical installation against current regulations.
